Nicki is a children’s book illustrator and designer based in Manchester, UK. Nicki loves to create loveable and engaging characters and enjoys exploring the relationship between parent/carer and child, believing that every child should see themselves represented in books. She works mainly digitally but loves to experiment with traditional materials and textures.

Nicki has worked in both agency and as a freelance graphic designer, delivering design for brands including Deloitte, British Fashion Council, The Christie and Chinese Centre for Contemporary Art. She left agency life to work directly with businesses, creating branding and providing squarespace website design. She is also a practising calligrapher and lettering artist. 

Nicki is a member and previous committee member with Children's Books North.
